In Kindoma, we are building a magical place where families connect with their loved ones. Our wish is to connect families that live apart and to give them an easy and enriching way to share. Kindoma is a network for your family (the “Site”) where you (the “User”) can access content and communicate with other Users. To make this system work, we have created a transparent and accountable system.
What Personal Information we collect:
In order to create an online network for your family, we need to collect some personally identifiable information from you to set up an account. A “User Account” provides access to the Site and requires an email address, a password, and year of birth (must be at least 18 at the last day of the previous year to create an account). With a User Account, the User becomes a representative of a household and can link to other Users who are representatives of other households on the Site. Once the User Account is created, the User uploads a profile picture.
Why we collect Personal Information:
Among other things, we use Personal Information to:
The User has control over what they share on Kindoma:
The User is a representative of their household in communication in Kindoma. The User may share video (synchronously or asynchronously) and other personal information about those they designate as a member of their household (“Household Family Members”). At any time, the User may view and edit their profile picture or their household connections. Users can opt to not receive any promotional email from us, and ask us to delete or disable their account.
What if I have Household Family Members under the age of 18:
You must be at least 18 at the last day of the previous year to create a User Account on Kindoma.
How we collect, use, and disclose information:
We also use aggregated data that does not identify you personally to improve our existing service and develop new features. Such tracking information includes, access times, referring websites, pages on our site that you visit, links that you use, and the content that you viewed.
Data about specific User activities that may be collected include, and are not limited to, information regarding books read, interaction with books (e.g. page turning and pointing data), content viewed on the Site, pages visited on the Site, links used, navigation elements used, locale (country code only), preferred language, IP Address, time zone information, and the amount of time spent on the Site. Additionally, we store the transaction history of all commerce transactions done through Kindoma.
We also plan to offer rating functionality that will allow Users to rate books and, at their option, enter the age range for children that they read the book with. We plan to collect and analyze such rating data.
We may share personal information such as unique identifiers with third party vendors when they perform services on our behalf, such as customer acquisition, analytics related to customer acquisition, or completing financial transactions, however, these companies are prohibited from using your personal information for purposes other than those requested by us or required by law.
